Painting Foreman

Role overview

Madre Integrated Engineering is hiring a Painting Foreman to supervise offshore painting and coating activities in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on managing crews, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Direct painting and coating teams to ensure surface preparation and coating work is carried out safely and efficiently.
• Plan day-to-day work, distribute manpower effectively, and keep activities aligned with the project timeline.
• Check coating application, film thickness, and curing to make sure the finished work meets technical and industry expectations.
• Oversee blasting, cleaning, and priming work before any coating is applied.
• Keep accurate records of paint consumption, inspection findings, and quality-related documentation.
• Apply offshore HSE requirements, confirm PPE use, and ensure permit-to-work procedures are followed during painting operations.

Requirements

• Diploma or certificate in Mechanical, Industrial Coatings, or a closely related field.
• 5 to 7 years of experience supervising offshore painting and coating work.
• Good understanding of protective coating systems, surface preparation methods, and offshore corrosion protection.
• Ability to interpret coating specifications, QA/QC procedures, and project drawings.
• Working knowledge of ASTM, ISO, and NOC coating standards.

• Coating Applicator Qualification Procedure (WHPR1-MDM4-ASYYY-23-302171-0001)
• ASTM D4228 Coating Qualification
• BOSIET / HUET certification from OPITO
• Basic H2S awareness training
• EPCIC Project HSES induction
