Job description
About the Organization
Africa Global Logistics Rwanda Limited is a Rwanda-incorporated logistics and transport company operating from the Kigali Special Economic Zone, P.O. Box 1338, Kigali, Rwanda. The wider group is part of MSC and has a strong footprint across Africa.
Role Overview
The finance function is rolling out a major transformation program involving SAP S/4HANA to replace older accounting and finance tools, alongside ESKER to digitize procure-to-pay processes. The initiative is designed to establish a common finance model across the group’s businesses, including Port, Shipping, Logistics, and Rail, and then expand it across 50 countries. To strengthen local support for this rollout, the Kigali service center is hiring a P2P Support Specialist to join the internal team.
This position reports to the local project team leader and requires both independent work and close collaboration with the wider team. The specialist will provide functional support, sustain application stability, assist business users, handle incidents, and contribute to improvements that align with finance and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
The role covers application support, business assistance, change management, documentation, and training for ESKER and selected SAP S/4HANA finance modules.
- Deliver first-line functional assistance for ESKER modules.
- Investigate and resolve incidents, requests, and application issues within agreed timelines.
- Escalate unresolved cases to second-level support when needed.
- Track application performance and help maintain stable operation.
- Administer user access, roles, and permissions in ESKER.
- Follow up on interfaces together with local application support teams.
- Serve as the primary support contact for finance users on ESKER-related matters.
- Assist users with invoice dispatch, OCR-based processing, workflows, and related tasks.
- Guide users on effective system use and good process practices.
- Collect business requirements and convert them into functional specifications.
- Take part in testing activities such as unit testing, user acceptance testing, and regression testing.
- Support ESKER, SAP implementation, rollout, and upgrade activities.
- Prepare and maintain process documentation, user manuals, and configuration records.
- Conduct training sessions for business users.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate brings experience in finance-related IT support or consulting, along with a strong grasp of accounting and financial workflows. Exposure to digitization tools such as OCR and workflow platforms is expected, and knowledge of SAP ECC or S/4HANA is considered an advantage.
The role also calls for someone who can analyze issues clearly, communicate well with both finance and IT stakeholders, and stay effective in a fast-moving, international environment. A collaborative mindset and strong organization are important.

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, information technology, business administration, or a related discipline.
- English fluency is required.
- French language skills are an added advantage.
