Role overview

We are looking to immediately hire full-time Overnight Janitors for a location in Honolulu, Hawaii. The role is based at Delta HNL, 300 Rodgers Blvd., Honolulu, HI 96819, and applications are accepted online only.

Work schedule

This is a full-time overnight position. Weekend shifts are mandatory. Additional schedule details will be shared during the interview.

Compensation

The fixed rate for this role is $21.00 per hour.

Job summary

This position is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and orderly buildings through thorough cleaning and sanitizing work. Duties include heavy cleaning tasks such as floor care, rug shampooing, wall washing, glass cleaning, and rubbish removal.

Key duties

• Remove and dispose of waste according to approved procedures and infection-control guidelines.
• Dust and damp mop floors using the required methods.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed to complete cleaning, then return items to their proper places.
• Clean assigned spaces with the designated supplies and tools, and sanitize surfaces as required.
• Follow the eight-step cleaning process.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and related surfaces to support a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Identify areas that need attention and take initiative to complete cleaning tasks.
• Carry out work assigned by the supervisor.
• Complete duties in line with federal, state, and county requirements.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors, and shampoo carpets.
• Work cooperatively with the team and maintain a professional attitude with customers, coworkers, and others.
• Perform other job-related tasks as needed.

Experience requirement

Prior experience in janitorial work and customer service is preferred.
