Role overview
The Overnight Cashier role at Cadillac Jack's Gaming Resort is a full-time, on-site position based in Deadwood, South Dakota. The job focuses on accurately handling casino cage transactions, working with cash and non-cash items, and supporting guest service during overnight operations. It also includes floor attendant duties such as helping keep public casino areas clean and responding to guest needs on the casino floor.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver excellent guest service with professionalism, enthusiasm, and care.
- Handle credit and debit card cash advances, cash personal checks, and exchange cash, chips, and tickets for guests.
- Complete every transaction with accuracy and honesty.
- Reconcile the cash drawer at the end of each shift.
- Record patron transactions correctly in the company’s computer system.
- Prepare forms, balance sheets, and supporting documents according to company standards and procedures.
- Follow department rules and processes closely to protect operational integrity.
- Use precise transaction and balancing methods at all times.
- Move cash, chips, and checks between cages and/or departments accurately and efficiently.
- Support responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by quietly informing the proper managers about any concerns or observations.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with guests and team members.
- Help keep the work area clean, safe, and free of hazards.
- Take on other assigned duties as needed.
