Role overview
This position is for an experienced Oracle Fusion HCM payroll functional consultant who can independently support client work for US and Canada payroll implementations and ongoing application support.
Key responsibilities
- Bring 5 to 10 years of experience working with Oracle Fusion Cloud applications.
- Lead or support implementation work for Oracle US Payroll and Canada Payroll.
- Have direct experience delivering at least two end-to-end implementations in either Oracle US Payroll or Oracle Canada Payroll.
- Configure and manage payroll elements and related setup.
- Work with calculation cards, element entries, balances, payment methods, and payment distribution processes.
- Handle Quick Pay, payroll flows, and retro processing scenarios.
- Investigate and resolve payroll issues that arise during daily operations.
- Understand start-of-year and year-end payroll activities.
- Tailor seeded templates and reports to suit business needs.
- Review business requirements carefully and recommend practical solutions after proper analysis.
- Partner with Oracle Support to drive issue resolution.
- Perform patch, smoke, and regression testing, and update test scripts as needed.
- Use strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills in client and team interactions.
- Work with the team to close client requests within agreed SLA timelines.
- Carry out fit-gap analysis for business or system changes.
- Complete unit testing and UAT, and work with business users to secure UAT sign-off.
- Develop and keep configuration workbooks up to date.
- Create ad hoc reports that help assess and communicate application health.
- Help reduce repeat issues caused by the Oracle Fusion application.
- Prepare process flows, data flow diagrams, requirement documents, design documents, and user training/onboarding material for projects and enhancements.
- Track issue resolution progress so delivery commitments, SLAs, and KPIs are met.
- Lead new feature walkthroughs with clients and stakeholders.
- Independently manage the HCM track, including client discussions, requirements meetings, and training sessions.
- Support year-end activities as required.
- Knowledge of related Fusion modules such as Core HR, Recruitment, Compensation, Benefits, and Talent Management is an added advantage.
Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of relevant Oracle Fusion Cloud experience.
- Hands-on experience implementing Oracle US Payroll and/or Canada Payroll.
- At least two end-to-end payroll implementation projects in Oracle US Payroll or Oracle Canada Payroll.
- Strong understanding of payroll setup, calculations, testing, and support processes.
- Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into workable solutions.
- Experience coordinating with support teams and business users to resolve issues.
- Good documentation, presentation, communication, and analytical abilities.
- Capability to manage the HCM workstream independently.
