About Mindrift
Mindrift connects specialists with project-based AI opportunities for leading tech companies, focusing on testing, evaluating, and improving AI systems. Participation is project-based, not permanent employment.
What This Opportunity Involves
While each project involves unique tasks, contributors may be responsible for designing original optics problems that simulate real physics research workflows. This includes ensuring problems are computationally intensive, requiring significant reasoning chains in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics. The problems should be based on real research challenges or practical applications from optics and physics, with clear documentation and verified correct answers.
What We Look For
This opportunity is ideal for optical engineers interested in part-time, non-permanent projects. Candidates should ideally possess a degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or a related field, with at least 2 years of professional, research, or teaching experience. Experience with numerical simulation methods, the ability to design problems mirroring real physics research workflows, creative thinking in problem design across diverse physics areas, and familiarity with physics modeling and approximation techniques are essential. Strong written English proficiency (C1+) is also required.
How It Works
The process involves applying, passing qualifications, joining a project, completing tasks, and receiving payment.
Project Time Expectations
Tasks for this specific project are estimated to require approximately 10-20 hours per week during active phases. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed workload, applicable only while the project is active.
Compensation
Contributors on this project can earn up to the equivalent of $45 per hour, with the actual rate depending on the individual's expertise and contribution speed. Compensation levels may vary for different projects on the platform based on their specific scope, complexity, and required expertise.
Additional Information
Please submit your CV in English and indicate your level of English proficiency.
