Role Summary
The Operations Lead plays a key part on the store leadership team, with responsibility for improving efficiency, driving profitability, and supporting smooth total-store operations. This role partners closely with the Operations & Visual Manager to assign work, guide the team, and provide feedback that helps the store achieve strong results.
Key Responsibilities
- Run inventory processes with a strong focus on accuracy and minimizing shrink.
- Identify the causes of inventory discrepancies and work with the General Manager to escalate process or system issues when needed.
- Oversee core operational tasks such as shipment handling, receiving, processing, reverse transfers, floor recovery, same-day replenishment, floor set changes, and supply coordination.
- Maintain high visual presentation standards across the sales floor.
- Help create a safe, organized, and efficient stockroom and operational environment.
- Work with the Operations & Visual Manager on reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor coordination, technology, and facilities.
- Use business metrics to inform decisions and support strategies that improve store performance.
- Stay active on the retail floor to respond to the needs of guests, the team, and the business.
- Lead by example and contribute to a positive guest experience through daily operational leadership.
- Directly manage Operations Associates, including hiring support and talent development.
- Use performance tools to assess team members and provide ongoing coaching in collaboration with the store leader.
- Partner with the Visual Lead for cross-training and with the Sales & Service Lead to keep execution aligned.
- Support company-wide operational initiatives and projects in partnership with the Operations & Visual Manager.

- At least 2 years of experience in a client-focused, sales-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with sound decision-making skills.
- Open to feedback and willing to both receive and give constructive input.
- High-energy, positive, and enthusiastic approach to work.
- Self-driven with a strong desire to deliver results individually and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

- This position is classified at the Associate job level.
Schedule and Availability
This is a full-time position requiring 32 to 40 hours per week. Candidates must have open availability to support business needs, including variable shifts, peak days, and weekends. Employees are also expected to be available during the company’s blackout period, which runs from the week of American Thanksgiving through the end of the holiday season, including Black Friday, Thanksgiving weekend, and the first week of January.
Compensation and Benefits
The base hourly pay for Leads in Brooklyn, NY ranges from $19.00 to $23.00 per hour. In addition, Leads may qualify for a monthly store incentive bonus, which can increase overall compensation.
