About the role
This contract opportunity is for an Operations Analyst I based in Toronto, Ontario. The position supports proxy voting operations from start to finish, while also contributing to ESG and corporate governance work. It combines hands-on operational delivery, data-driven analysis, and process enhancement in a team-oriented, fast-moving setting.
You will collaborate with internal partners, global stakeholders, custodians, and external vendors, while also gaining practical exposure to analytics and automation tools such as Power BI and Power Platform. The role follows a hybrid model, with in-office days on Tuesday through Thursday.
Schedule and contract details
Contract dates run from July 7, 2026 through December 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension. The working schedule is Monday to Friday, either 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Compensation is up to $28.50 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay. The interview process consists of two virtual rounds.
Proxy voting operations
- Assist with the complete proxy voting cycle, including monitoring, reconciliation, and execution.
- Submit proxy votes through third-party systems while meeting strict deadlines.
- Keep records accurate and help prepare reports and regulatory submissions.
- Work with internal teams, custodians, and outside vendors to keep tasks moving.
- Track key milestones and support timely delivery of all required outputs.
Data analysis and process improvement
- Review operational data to spot patterns, risks, and opportunities to improve performance.
- Support reporting activities using Excel, Power BI, and similar tools.
- Contribute to workflow optimization and automation efforts through Power Platform.
- Maintain process documentation and help standardize operating procedures.
ESG and governance support
- Support stewardship work and corporate governance initiatives tied to ESG priorities.
- Review proxy ballot items against internal voting guidelines.
- Maintain stewardship and regulatory data used in reporting.
- Help assess voting trends and broader industry practices.
