Role summary
The Operations Analyst will support business improvement efforts by examining operational processes, recommending strategic enhancements, and assisting with compensation programs. The position blends analysis and administrative coordination to help ensure commission and compensation plans are aligned with company goals and operating needs.
Key responsibilities
- Run the sales compensation cycle, including monthly and quarterly commission calculations, validations, and payouts based on approved plan rules.
- Keep Salesforce, Xactly, and Workday records accurate by matching commission, employee, and sales information, while working with Human Resources on correct system setup and upkeep.
- Work with Sales Leadership and Operations to define and communicate sales quotas, support annual compensation plan launches, and help with plan design, system setup, training, and documentation.
- Prepare, review, and present reporting on commissions, sales results, forecasts, pricing, margins, and other operational measures that inform decisions.
- Support Worldwide Sales & Services through analysis of bookings, order handling, selling patterns, and overall business performance.
- Build productive working relationships across Sales, Consulting, HR, Finance, and Operations to improve execution and support strategic priorities.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a closely related discipline is required.
- Applicants should have 2–3 years of experience in Operations, Business Analytics, Finance, Revenue Operations, or another comparable analytical function.
- Strong data analysis abilities are needed, including the ability to spot trends and support decision-making.
- Advanced Excel capability is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with Xactly or another incentive compensation management tool is preferred.
- Exposure to BI tools is considered an advantage.
- A solid understanding of business operations and financial reporting is important.
- The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage several priorities in a fast-moving environment while meeting deadlines.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills are necessary, along with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence outcomes.
- Experience in a SaaS or technology company is a plus.
