Renvolt is a subsidiary of Voltalia Group.

Role Overview

Renvolt is expanding its Operations & Maintenance footprint in Ireland and is looking for an O&M Technician based close to its sites, ideally near Waterford, to support local operations, quick response times, and the reliability of solar assets.

Reporting to the O&M Site Manager, this role focuses on technical troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance, site assessments, commissioning support, documentation, and continuous improvement of maintenance processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond quickly to faults on site or remotely, identify issues, and apply recovery actions to restore production.
  • Perform specialized technical maintenance work on location.
  • Support integrated commissioning and start-up activities.
  • Complete technical inspections and assessments on site.
  • Prepare technical evidence and reports to support claims and related processes.
  • Deliver training sessions and technical workshops to strengthen maintenance knowledge and skills.
  • Contribute to the improvement of maintenance systems and working methods.
  • Create technical documents that support maintenance operations.
  • Assess and recommend more effective tools and maintenance practices.
  • Promote good practices and standards across the team.
  • Assist with reliability studies and analysis of failures.
  • Take part in monitoring and auditing procedures, activities, and implemented processes.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate should have an electrical qualification and preferably experience in commissioning and maintaining photovoltaic power plants. Background in electronics and automation fault diagnosis is also important, along with familiarity with SCADA and remote-control systems.

Experience with data acquisition and communications systems is an advantage. Strong MS Office and reporting software skills are required, as well as advanced English reading, writing, and speaking ability.

The role involves physical site work, so candidates must be comfortable working on-site. A valid Irish driver licence is mandatory.

Key Skills and Attributes

The ideal person will bring initiative, proactivity, independence, and a strong sense of responsibility. They should be able to influence others positively, stay effective under pressure, and handle demanding deadlines calmly.

Additional strengths include the ability to design and defend solutions, implement improvements, work in a structured and organized way, use practical judgment, and think critically.

Work Eligibility

This opportunity is intended for professionals located near Renvolt’s Irish sites, with a preference for candidates in the Waterford area. Applicants must also hold a valid Irish driver licence.
