Role overview
The O&M Incharge will oversee operation and maintenance activities for mechanical utilities and equipment at the Satna site. This role focuses on keeping plant and network systems reliable, minimizing downtime, ensuring compliance with procedures, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
What you will do
- Handle operation and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment, with practical exposure to high-service pumps, vertical turbine pumps, compressors, blowers, valves, and pipeline networks.
- Plan and execute preventive, breakdown, and predictive maintenance activities to improve uptime and reduce interruptions.
- Support efficient plant and utility performance while also contributing to tender-related work and business development efforts.
- Monitor and implement the computerized maintenance management system for smooth maintenance tracking and control.
- Audit water and wastewater treatment plants, along with water and sewer line commissioning and O&M activities.
- Manage customer interactions professionally and maintain a healthy working relationship with clients.
- Prepare and execute monsoon readiness actions as a preventive measure.
- Implement EHS and quality documents, procedures, and site SOPs.
- Coordinate and manage subcontracts, vendor contracts, supply agreements, purchase orders, and amendments.
- Track and control performance against KPI requirements.
Eligibility
Applicants should meet one of the following qualification and experience combinations: a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 5 to 15 years of experience, or a BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 5 to 12 years of experience.
Experience and skill fit
The ideal candidate will already have hands-on experience in operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment, strong familiarity with maintenance planning, and the ability to coordinate technical, commercial, and customer-facing responsibilities at site.
Additional information
This is a full-time onsite position based in Satna, Madhya Pradesh, India. The role requires active implementation of maintenance systems, site procedures, safety and quality documentation, and vendor/commercial management support.
