Job description
Role Overview
This position is for a warehouse operations officer in Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area, supporting compliant material handling, storage, documentation, and audit readiness in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the area for work and audits, and support inspections from both internal and external auditors.
- Receive incoming raw materials, packaging materials, and consumables, then move them to the correct storage locations within the required timelines.
- Create goods receipt notes (GRNs) and transfer order confirmations.
- Issue raw materials, packaging materials, and consumables as required.
- Raise discrepancy reports or vendor complaints when issues are found during material receipt.
- Coordinate with Purchase, QC, QA, and external vendors to follow up on complaints, discrepancies, and purchase order-related issues.
- Oversee engineering store activities such as receipt and issue of materials, gate pass preparation, and general store upkeep.
- Maintain cGMP records in line with SOPs and follow cGMP practices within the warehouse.
- Ensure warehouse areas and equipment are cleaned and maintained according to SOPs/EOPs, with proper recordkeeping.
- Carry out cleaning, calibration, and verification of weighing balances.
- Track temperature, relative humidity, and differential pressure readings.
- Handle operation and cleaning of pass boxes and de-dusting tunnels.
- Keep warehouse spaces clean, organized, and in good condition.
Experience
The role requires 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience.
Education
Post-graduation in Science or Chemistry is required.
