Role Summary

The Caregiver position at Summerset Palms Village is a hands-on role within a team dedicated to keeping residents safe, well, and comfortable. The job centres on personal care and support with everyday living, with the aim of helping residents maintain a pleasant lifestyle.

Key Duties

  • Serve meals and support residents during mealtimes.
  • Provide personal hygiene assistance, including showering support.
  • Help implement individual care plans, including walks and exercise activities.
  • Support resident engagement through activities such as puzzles and table tennis.

Working Pattern

This is a full-time night shift role. The roster covers 60 to 80 hours per fortnight and follows a pattern of 4 nights on followed by 2 days off. The role also requires flexibility for a rotating schedule that can include morning, afternoon, and night shifts.

What You Need

The ideal person will be naturally empathetic, patient, and kind, with a caring approach that positively affects residents’ lives. Previous experience in aged care or a comparable role is expected, along with strong verbal communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
