About the Organization
Mission Services of London is a charitable social service organization that supports people in London and Middlesex County with care, respect, and dignity. The Men’s Mission and Rotholme Family Shelters are hiring a full-time Night Housekeeper to help keep the facilities clean, safe, and welcoming. This position reports directly to the Facilities Manager.
Key Duties
- Follow scheduled cleaning routines on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to keep the building clean and operating efficiently.
- Use powered cleaning tools and equipment such as vacuums, polishers, and buffers.
- Help maintain a sanitary environment by cleaning, disinfecting, and replacing furnishings and equipment as needed.
- Escalate repair or maintenance issues to the Maintenance team and/or the Manager.
- Keep storage spaces orderly, safe, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Use and care for all cleaning equipment in line with public health requirements and internal safety procedures.
- Deliver resident service in a manner that reflects Mission Services of London values.
Qualifications
- High school completion or equivalent practical life experience.
- Working knowledge of WHMIS, First Aid, and CPI.
- Between 6 months and 1 year of housekeeping experience, ideally in a residential or nursing home environment.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Comfort following spoken directions and completing tasks without close supervision.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others.
Position Details
- This is a full-time night-shift role with 40 hours per week.
