Role overview

We are hiring a full-time Night Cleaner for Hale Country Club & Spa in Hale, Cheshire. This is a permanent position working 40 hours each week on variable shifts, including some weekend work across a 5-day schedule.

Shift timings are Monday to Thursday from 9:30pm to 5:30am, and Friday to Sunday from 9:00pm to 5:00am. The salary is competitive and will reflect the candidate’s experience and skill set.

What the role involves

• Maintain the full range of club areas to a high cleaning standard, including offices, storage areas, toilets, restaurant spaces, showers, sports zones, changing rooms, stairways, landings, corridors, sauna and steam rooms, fitness areas, reception spaces, and the furniture and fixtures within them.
• Carry out cleaning tasks such as wet mopping, dry mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, buffing, spot cleaning, wiping, washing, sanitising, scrubbing and dusting as required.
• Restock essentials such as paper towels, soap, toilet tissue and bin liners.
• Operate cleaning machinery, tools, equipment and materials appropriately and safely.
• Clear all waste bins, transfer contents to the correct containers and move waste to the designated dustbin area.
• Deliver consistently high standards of customer care.
• Attend training sessions whenever arranged, as ongoing training is an important part of the job.
• Provide cover for other cleaners during annual leave and sickness absence.
• Take on other reasonable duties requested by club management that fall within the scope and level of the role.

• Previous cleaning experience in a spa or health club setting.
• A practical, hands-on working style.
• Strong attention to detail and a background in customer service.
• Experience working effectively in a team, along with solid interpersonal skills.
