Role overview
This full-time non-management position is based in Ummahat Islands 2-3, Red Sea, Saudi Arabia, within the Golf, Fitness, & Entertainment category. The role focuses on leading nature, recreation, and learning-based activities for children, young people, adults, and families, while ensuring a safe, welcoming, and high-quality guest experience.
Key duties
You will plan and lead group experiences such as snorkeling, kayaking, underwater photography and videography, botanical park tours, sustainability lessons, arts and crafts, and other related recreational programs. The role also includes explaining and reinforcing facility rules and regulations that support guest and member safety and well-being.
You are expected to monitor recreational areas, react appropriately in emergencies according to local operating procedures, and alert a supervisor or manager when a guest cannot safely take part in an activity. You should demonstrate knowledge of local heritage and culture, prepare thoroughly for each activity, ensure your partner or assistant is also ready with the required materials, and keep the group guided at all times.
Guest service and workplace standards
The position requires strict adherence to company policies and procedures, protection of confidential information, and safeguarding of company assets. You must report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions, complete required safety training and certifications, and provide courteous, proactive service to guests, including guests with disabilities.
You will be expected to greet and acknowledge all guests according to brand standards, anticipate guest needs, thank guests sincerely, communicate clearly and professionally with others, answer phones using proper etiquette, and build positive working relationships. The role also includes maintaining quality standards, recommending and helping introduce improvements, and completing other reasonable job-related duties as assigned.
Physical demands
This job involves inspecting tools, equipment, or machines; moving across sloped, uneven, or slippery surfaces; standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods; and lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or positioning objects weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance.
Education and experience
Preferred education includes a high school diploma or GED, along with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or an equivalent qualification. A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience is required, and prior supervisory experience is not necessary.
Required certifications and licensing
Applicants must have the following certifications or qualifications: lifeguard certification, water safety certification, CPR certification, oxygen administration certification, epinephrine injection certification, first aid certification, food safety certification, a traffic background certificate, and any additional training or certification required by local or state agencies.
