Job Description
The National Account Manager will be instrumental in forging strategic alliances with national distributors, contractors, and significant industry accounts. The primary objective is to uncover new avenues for market expansion and boost sales performance. This position necessitates frequent travel across the United States for client meetings, industry event participation, and business development activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Cultivate and expand existing national account relationships within the HVAC, plumbing, and roofing distribution channels.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase market share.
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring superior customer service.
- Conduct persuasive sales presentations, product demonstrations, and customer training sessions.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing structures, and partnership agreements.
- Analyze market dynamics, customer requirements, and competitor activities to pinpoint growth prospects.
- Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, operations, and product development teams to ensure customer success.
- Provide consistent sales forecasts, pipeline status updates, and performance reports.
- Participate in industry trade shows, client meetings, and networking events.
- Stay informed about product features, benefits, and industry advancements.
- Submit expense reports and sales activity logs promptly.
- Propose product improvements and new product ideas based on customer feedback and market insights.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of proven B2B sales experience is required.
- Demonstrated experience selling industrial, plumbing, HVAC, or construction-related products through distribution channels is essential.
- Proficiency in negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building is necessary.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required.
- The ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks effectively is crucial.
- Strong capabilities in organization and strategic planning are needed.
- Competence with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems is required.
- A valid Driver's License is mandatory.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the United States, including overnight stays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with national distributors, contractors, or retail accounts.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, plumbing products, or roofing industry materials.
- A documented history of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Compensation & Benefits
Base Compensation: An annual base salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000, with the final offer contingent upon experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
Commission: An uncapped commission structure is in place, with eligibility commencing the month after hiring. An established account base offers immediate earning potential. The specific commission plan will be finalized upon hiring.
Benefits Package: Includes Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, a 401(k) plan with a company match of up to 6%, and Paid Time Off. Employees receive 17 vacation days annually, with additional paid leave provided according to company policy. Professional development opportunities are also available.
Travel Requirements
This role requires a travel commitment of 50% - 75% of the time.
