Role Overview
This full-time, on-site nanny position is based in Accra, Greater Accra Region, Ghana. The successful candidate will offer attentive care that matches each child’s age and needs, while keeping safety, comfort, and routine at the center of daily support.
Key Duties
- Supervise children during play and everyday activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Support children’s daily routines, including feeding, snacks, hygiene, dressing, and general supervision.
- Prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks that are suitable for children.
- Keep play spaces and child-related areas neat and organized.
- Plan and lead educational, creative, and development-focused activities.
- Encourage early learning, positive behavior, and social development.
- Follow the family’s instructions, schedules, and house rules.
- Share regular updates with parents or guardians about the children’s activities, behavior, and needs.
Qualifications
- Proven childcare capability, including babysitting or experience working with children in a patient, respectful, and safe manner.
- Understanding of early childhood development to support learning, behavior, and emotional growth that suits the child’s age.
- Ability to cook basic, nutritious food for children.
- Previous experience as a nanny, babysitter, or in a related caregiving role is strongly preferred.
- Comfort with keeping the home area clean, orderly, and aligned with household routines.
- Clear communication skills for working with parents or guardians and giving updates.
- Reliability, punctuality, and readiness to work full-time on site in Accra.
- First aid and CPR training, or a willingness to complete those certifications, is an added advantage.
