Job description
Role overview
Bodyset is looking for an MSK Physiotherapist to deliver outstanding care to self-pay and private medical insured patients. The role focuses on following established, evidence-based clinical pathways from the first assessment through to discharge.
You will be expected to communicate clearly, create strong and lasting relationships with patients, and contribute actively as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team.
What you will do
- Use your Chartered Physiotherapist expertise to triage, assess, diagnose, and treat a defined caseload, working with a high degree of independence and sound clinical judgement.
- Follow Bodyset’s policies, procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements so that service quality and patient experience remain consistent.
- Maintain respectful and effective communication with patients, parents, and carers while protecting privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
- Liaise with referrers to help ensure patients receive continuous, uninterrupted care.
- Provide guidance on nutrition, exercise, equipment or devices, sleep, stress, and other factors that support overall wellbeing.
- Help attract both new and returning patients to the clinic, including delivering corporate workshops developed with the partnerships manager for current and prospective clients.
- Work to improve clinic standards and escalate any risks to the Regional Lead.
- Keep patient notes, records, and statistical data accurate and up to date, completing documentation within the required service timelines.
- Continue developing professionally as a Chartered Physiotherapist by maintaining CPD, including attendance at relevant conferences and events.
- Comply with the CSP Code of Members’ Professional Values and Behaviour and the HCPC Standards of conduct, performance and ethics.
- Support the multidisciplinary clinic team in implementing service improvements when needed.
Required background
The role calls for a qualified Physiotherapist with strong autonomy, clinical reasoning, organisation, and communication skills. You should be comfortable working to clinical pathways and able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint effectively.
Additional requirements
- A BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy.
- Current registration with both the Health and Care Professions Council and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
- Ability to work independently while delivering care in line with Bodyset’s clinical pathways.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Strong organisational and time management ability.
- Excellent spoken communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written English skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Preferred: experience building a private caseload and generating new business.
- Preferred: prior experience in private healthcare.
- Preferred: at least 1 year of relevant post-graduate clinical experience.
Professional expectations
You will also be expected to uphold professional standards, maintain confidentiality, and deliver care in a way that reflects evidence-based practice and high clinical standards.
