Core responsibilities
- Design, architect, and deploy enterprise-grade monitoring solutions for applications, infrastructure, and cloud services so issues can be identified before they affect users.
- Build and continuously improve automation frameworks and supporting tools using scripting and orchestration to cut manual work and improve consistency in IT operations.
- Own small to medium projects with moderate to high complexity from planning through delivery and post-launch review.
- Analyze performance data, logs, and metrics in depth to uncover root causes, anticipate future risks, and recommend architectural or process improvements.
- Help refine Business Technology processes by applying monitoring and automation expertise to establish better practices and improve outcomes.
- Coach and guide less experienced colleagues and other IT staff on monitoring platforms, automation approaches, and operational excellence.
- Work closely with Development, Operations, Security, and business teams to embed monitoring and automation across the SDLC and operational workflows.
- Ensure solutions follow security controls, compliance obligations, and corporate governance standards to support audit readiness and reduce risk.
Technical expectations
The role calls for expert-level capability with enterprise monitoring platforms, strong scripting and programming skills, hands-on experience with orchestration and CI/CD tools, and familiarity with cloud-native services. It also requires a solid understanding of infrastructure, application architecture, containerized environments, and microservices monitoring.

Required background
