Job description

Role Overview

B2Tech is looking for an MNO Relationship Manager to own and grow partnerships with Mobile Network Operators across major African markets. Reporting to the Head of Strategy and Business Development, this role focuses on building strategic mobile money alliances and taking integrations from the first discussion through launch.

You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to make sure partners provide everything needed to complete implementation and scale successfully in target markets. This is a practical, execution-oriented position centered on relationship management and live delivery.

Key Impact

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Mobile Network Operators across Africa.
  • Lead mobile money partnerships from initial outreach through successful go-live.
  • Coordinate with MNO partners to obtain API access, wallets, documentation, and other integration prerequisites.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams to deliver integrations and remove blockers.
  • Monitor partnership milestones, manage schedules, and support timely launches.
  • Represent the business in meetings, workshops, and industry forums.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in payments.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience working with MNOs or mobile money providers.
  • Strong command of English or French.
  • Working knowledge of mobile money, APIs, USSD, STK, and payment integration workflows.
  • Demonstrated success in managing partnerships and seeing projects through to completion.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Highly organized, self-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Open to frequent travel across Africa.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing connections with operators such as MTN, Airtel, Orange, Vodacom, Safaricom, or similar providers.
  • Experience working in emerging markets.
  • Ability to speak Portuguese or Swahili.

Additional Information

This position is based in Kigali, Kigali City, Rwanda and is a full-time onsite role.
