Role overview

This opportunity is for a Middle+ Marketing Data Analyst based in Germany and shared on behalf of a partner company that handles applications and the hiring process. The role sits at the point where marketing, analytics, and business intelligence meet, with a focus on turning complex marketing datasets into clear, practical insights that support better decisions and measurable outcomes.

You will own delivery for client accounts end to end in a fast-moving remote-first setting. The work involves building reporting solutions, improving data quality, maintaining analytics workflows, and partnering with clients and internal teams to solve data problems and communicate findings in a way that is easy to act on. This position is well suited to someone detail-focused, comfortable with challenging datasets, and interested in using modern BI, data modeling, and AI tools to improve speed and impact.

Accountabilities

  • Take responsibility for analytics delivery across assigned client accounts, making sure reporting outputs support business priorities and marketing objectives.
  • Create, maintain, and improve dashboards and reports in BI tools such as Looker, Power BI, and Tableau.
  • Write, debug, and refine SQL queries used for analysis, reporting, investigations, and validation tasks.
  • Build and support data transformation pipelines using data modeling practices and tools such as dbt.
  • Run quality checks and user acceptance testing to verify accuracy, consistency, reliability, and trust in data.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand requirements, turn business needs into analytical solutions, and present insights clearly.
  • Spot trends, risks, and growth opportunities in marketing data and recommend actions that improve performance.
  • Use AI-enabled tools to speed up analysis, reporting, documentation, and other day-to-day analytical work.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst, with a strong emphasis on marketing analytics and related data ecosystems.
  • Advanced capability in at least one major BI platform such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau, with the flexibility to work across several reporting environments.
  • Strong SQL knowledge, including experience creating, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex queries.
  • Practical experience with data modeling methods and transformation tools, preferably dbt.
  • Strong understanding of Google Analytics and how marketing performance is measured.
  • Hands-on use of Git for version control and collaborative development.
  • Excellent analytical reasoning, problem-solving ability, and close attention to detail.
  • Proven experience working directly with clients, explaining technical topics clearly, and delivering insights with business impact.
  • Experience with QA/UAT and validation of large datasets.
  • Professional English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Comfort using AI tools and incorporating them into analytical workflows.
  • Exposure to digital marketing platforms, marketing data sources, or agency environments is a plus.
