Job description
Role Overview
Nyhus Design Group is hiring junior- to mid-level architects and interior designers for its Burlingame, California office. The position is aimed at professionals with 5 to 15 years of experience in high-end residential and/or hospitality design and construction. Licensure is not required.
What You’ll Do
The role involves producing strong construction documents, preparing detailed design drawings, and contributing to projects through completion with a solid grasp of construction administration. You will work closely with consultants and contractors, help coordinate engineering consultants, and support the delivery of high-end projects.
Required Background
Applicants should have a thorough understanding of materials, building systems, construction methods, and the overall design-to-build process, along with a genuine curiosity to learn more. Strong communication, organization, graphic, written, verbal, and presentation abilities are important, as is advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Word, and Excel. Experience with SketchUp is considered an added advantage.
Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in architecture is required. Candidates should bring at least 5 years of experience in architecture and construction, with overall experience ranging from 5 to 15 years for the role.
