Role overview
MS-Group Limited is building a talent pool for Memorial Monumental Fixers to join Mossfords memorial, a business established in 1821. The role focuses on installing and fixing memorials to a high-quality finish that meets the company’s quality standards.
The work is carried out outdoors and may involve war memorials, cemeteries, churchyards, and, from time to time, construction sites.
Key responsibilities
- Install and secure memorials carefully and to the expected quality standard.
- Develop a working knowledge of memorial installation, including the technical rules and regulations that apply to safe fixing.
- Carry out duties outdoors in cemeteries, churchyards, at war memorials, and occasionally on construction sites.
- Work in line with company procedures, including health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Wear company uniform at all times and represent the business in a courteous, respectful, and professional way.
- Follow management directions and take on additional duties as workload and staffing needs require.
- Remain flexible for overtime and occasional weekend shifts, sometimes at short notice, to support client commitments.
Requirements
- Reliable and punctual.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to take and follow instructions accurately.
- Capable of managing workload and meeting deadlines.
- Comfortable lifting and handling heavy materials; manual handling training will be provided.
- Good reading, writing, and numeracy skills.
- Willingness to work outdoors and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Physically fit and able to declare any illness or medical condition at the time of application.
Preferred qualifications and experience
- BRAMM licence.
- CSCS card.
- Forklift licence.
- Training in manual handling and abrasive wheels.
Working hours and conditions
This is a full-time role of 42.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 16:30. Optional overtime may be available.
The role involves significant physical effort and may include exposure to physical risks associated with lifting and manual handling. A full health and safety induction plus job-specific training will be provided.
