Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrument Technicians in Messaieed. The role involves carrying out preventive checks, routine servicing, fault diagnosis, and repairs across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment. You will inspect machinery and control systems, identify issues, replace or restore faulty components, and confirm that all systems operate correctly in line with safety and quality requirements.
Key Duties
- Carry out routine, preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on industrial equipment and systems.
- Diagnose faults in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation assets and complete repairs efficiently.
- Inspect machinery, control panels, and related systems to assess condition and spot defects.
- Replace, repair, or adjust damaged parts and verify proper functioning after maintenance.
- Work in accordance with site safety rules, permits, and HSE procedures.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other team members to support maintenance activities.
- Respond to urgent maintenance needs, including shift work and overtime when required.
Required Background
- Practical experience in preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance within industrial or oil & gas environments.
- Hands-on understanding of mechanical systems, including rotating and static equipment.
- Ability to inspect equipment condition, identify defects, and check compliance with technical and safety standards.
- Qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related technical discipline at diploma or degree level.
- Prior exposure to Oil & Gas, Energy, or Petrochemical facilities, ideally in Ras Laffan, Messaieed, or similar industrial locations.
- Comfortable working in a site-based setting while following strict HSE and operational regulations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
- Prepared to work shifts, overtime, and urgent maintenance calls as operationally needed.
Additional Information
The position is based in Messaieed and requires presence at the worksite. Experience in highly regulated industrial environments is especially relevant.
