Mathematics - AI Trainer

About the role

This position is suited to an advanced mathematician who can help improve AI systems by creating and assessing challenging math-related tasks. The work calls for strong mathematical judgment and the ability to reason at an expert level. A Master’s or PhD that is current, underway, or completed is preferred, though it is not mandatory. Candidates from related backgrounds such as Applied Mathematics or Computer Science may also be suitable.

What the work involves

• Design varied and complex mathematics questions for AI chatbots to answer.
• Review AI responses and judge their accuracy and overall quality.
• Assess model output for correctness and performance.

What we’re looking for

• Native or bilingual-level English fluency.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Solid command of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, probability, statistics, and inductive and deductive reasoning.
• A current, in-progress, or completed Master’s and/or PhD is preferred, but not essential.

Working arrangement and compensation

This is an independent contractor role. You can select the projects you want to take on and decide when to work. The work is done on your own schedule, using your own computer, from home. Pay starts at $40+ USD per hour, and some projects may offer bonus rates. Payment is made through PayPal, which also handles any currency conversion from USD.
