Job description
About the company
Lenovo is a global technology company with annual revenue of US$83 billion and a presence across 180 markets. The business is known for its broad portfolio spanning AI-enabled, AI-ready and AI-optimized devices, infrastructure, software, solutions and services. Its goal is to make technology smarter and more accessible for everyone, while continuing to invest in innovation that supports a more trusted and inclusive future.
Role overview
In this position, you will lead the planning, coordination and oversight of marketing initiatives in a retail and channel setting. The role calls for someone who combines hands-on execution with strategic judgment, and who can work with a clear focus on business impact, efficiency and long-term consistency.
Key responsibilities
- Create and maintain quarterly marketing plans that align with defined budgets and partner expectations.
- Design and implement retail marketing activities such as partner website campaigns, promotional initiatives and point-of-sale actions.
- Coordinate marketing efforts with B2B partners and distributors.
- Make sure all activities follow the requirements and guidelines of international alliance partners, including budget handling, branding rules and reporting standards.
- Partner with internal sales teams and confidently question requirements or priorities when needed.
- Review marketing performance, assess results and identify areas for improvement.
- Build structured quarterly plans that emphasize sustainable outcomes rather than short-lived activity.
- Plan and manage trade fairs and events, representing the company and its Hybrid AI solutions while keeping brand messaging consistent.
- Apply strategic guidelines consistently with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate has several years of experience in marketing project management, preferably in the IT, technology or channel environment in Germany. Experience handling co-marketing budgets and partner programs is important, along with a solid understanding of retail and channel marketing structures.
You should be able to take a clear position, defend well-reasoned decisions under pressure, and use critical thinking to assess initiatives and prioritize by strategic value. The role also requires flexibility, openness to change, strong communication skills, a structured and independent working style, and a confident, assertive approach.
Native-level German is required, together with advanced English skills in both written and spoken communication, plus strong presentation ability.
What to expect
- A demanding role at the intersection of marketing, sales and technology.
- The chance to influence direction in an environment that values clear strategy and effective execution.
- Collaboration with prominent international partners.
- A culture built around ownership, critical thinking and professional conviction.
Application documents
Please submit a clear, well-organized CV, a brief cover letter highlighting your relevant background, and any relevant certificates or supporting documents. Applications are reviewed carefully, with an emphasis on clarity, relevance and a personal touch.
Work location and attendance
The office location may be Zurich, Essen or Stuttgart. Regular on-site collaboration is expected in Essen or Stuttgart for at least three days per week.
