Job description

Role overview

This opportunity is shared on behalf of a partner employer that handles applications and the remaining recruitment steps. The hiring company is seeking a Marketing Project Lead in Australia to guide marketing strategy, coordinate delivery, and help drive client success across several brands.

The role blends strategic planning, project leadership, and client management. You will serve as the main link between clients and internal teams, making sure marketing plans, execution, and performance stay closely tied to business goals. Success in this position requires a mix of big-picture thinking and hands-on coordination, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-moving, fully remote environment.

You will be responsible for turning business objectives into practical marketing roadmaps, setting measurable KPIs, and keeping campaigns and content work on track. This is a high-impact position for someone who is comfortable managing multiple priorities, maintaining accountability, and delivering measurable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Shape and direct end-to-end marketing strategies for assigned clients, including priorities, roadmaps, KPIs, and execution plans that support business objectives.
  • Serve as the main client contact, leading strategic conversations, managing expectations, and offering clear recommendations based on data.
  • Coordinate delivery across several brands and campaigns, working with internal teams and external partners to maintain quality, timing, and alignment.
  • Track performance across initiatives, monitor KPIs, and provide clients and stakeholders with concise reporting and actionable insights.
  • Keep marketing execution running smoothly by managing scope, solving issues, and holding contributors accountable.
  • Convert client goals into structured marketing plans that produce measurable results and business value.
  • Help improve processes so that active projects remain efficient, consistent, and easy to manage.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in marketing management, project leadership, account management, or a client-facing marketing position.
  • Demonstrated ability to build marketing strategies, define KPIs, and create execution plans aligned with business goals.
  • Experience handling multiple client accounts or brands at the same time in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong client communication skills with the confidence to lead discussions, influence decisions, and build trust.
  • Practical experience with budgeting, reporting, and performance tracking for marketing work.
  • Comfort using marketing and productivity tools such as Google Analytics, Figma, and AI-assisted tools.
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills, with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, outcomes-focused environment with limited supervision.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written.

Benefits

  • Salary is competitive and based on experience and expertise.
  • Fully remote working arrangement with flexibility to work from anywhere.
  • High autonomy with meaningful ownership and decision-making responsibility.
  • Results are valued more than process, with minimal bureaucracy and no micromanagement.
  • Access to ongoing learning and development, including training and skill-building opportunities.
  • Paid holidays, vacation time, personal leave, and sick leave.
  • Opportunities to join team-building activities and industry events.
  • A collaborative and creative environment centered on growth, accountability, and impact.
