Job description

About Citylitics

Citylitics provides predictive intelligence on where, why, and how infrastructure spending will happen across North America. The company focuses on the systems that underpin daily life, including water, transportation, transit, roads and highways, broadband, and power.

By converting millions of documents from more than 40,000 cities, utilities, and public agencies into live market signals and sales intelligence, Citylitics helps infrastructure vendors, engineering firms, and construction companies spot opportunities earlier, build relationships, influence project direction, and prepare before formal procurement begins.

The platform combines AI agents, fine-tuned models, a proprietary infrastructure signals graph, and human quality assurance to produce reliable intelligence that plugs into CRMs, ERPs, and data lakes. Citylitics' mission is to improve how infrastructure investments are made so communities can benefit from stronger and more resilient systems sooner.

The company values a results-driven mindset, continuous improvement, and collaborative teamwork in an environment built for meaningful work and long-term impact.

Role Overview

Citylitics is hiring a Marketing Operations Analyst to strengthen the data backbone, campaign execution processes, and GTM AI-agent workflows that support its marketing and BDR engine.

This role is part of the Demand Generation team and owns the data used for outbound campaigns, inbound follow-up, newsletters, customer segmentation, and targeted marketing programs. It also supports the handoff from demand generation to BDRs so that leads, contacts, accounts, and campaign responses are properly enriched, routed, segmented, and ready for follow-up.

This position is hands-on and suited to someone who enjoys working with data, refining systems, building clean lists, creating useful audience segments, running email campaigns and newsletters, troubleshooting HubSpot workflows, and helping design AI-agent-enabled go-to-market processes.

The ideal candidate is detail-focused, analytical, operationally disciplined, technically curious, and motivated to help scale a modern B2B marketing machine in a fast-growing AI and data company.

Location and Work Setup

This is a hybrid position based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, with a requirement to be in the office at least three days per week.

What You'll Do

  • Improve account and contact data quality across marketing and CRM systems.
  • Find and correct duplicate, incomplete, outdated, or misclassified records.
  • Support enrichment work using internal data, external sources, and AI agents.
  • Use AI tools to assist with collecting, cleaning, standardizing, enriching, analyzing, and checking data.
  • Create and maintain standards for fields, segments, lists, and campaign audiences.
  • Audit data regularly and flag issues that could affect campaign delivery, reporting, or BDR follow-up.
  • Structure marketing data so targeting, personalization, reporting, and segmentation stay accurate.
  • Build and maintain segments for accounts, contacts, customers, prospects, and users.
  • Segment audiences by industry, geography, company type, market, customer status, product usage, persona, buying role, engagement level, signal type, and other GTM criteria.
  • Use Citylitics' signals data to identify relevant audiences for targeted campaigns.
  • Partner with Marketing and BDR teams to define audiences and keep lists accurate and follow-up ready.
  • Develop repeatable segmentation frameworks for priority markets, verticals, personas, newsletters, and campaign motions.
  • Maintain campaign lists with proper tagging, sourcing, and tracking.
  • Build, schedule, test, and launch email campaigns and newsletters.
  • Prepare audiences, suppression lists, personalization fields, and campaign logic.
  • Ensure campaigns are segmented, tested, tagged, and tracked correctly.
  • Track campaign performance, including deliverability, opens, clicks, engagement, unsubscribes, conversion signals, and follow-up outcomes.
  • Report on newsletter and campaign performance, audience engagement, trends, conversion indicators, and improvement opportunities.
  • Help improve email performance through better data quality, sharper segmentation, and more precise targeting.
  • Support campaign reporting and share actionable findings with the Marketing team.
  • Support the transition from demand generation activity to BDR follow-up.
  • Ensure leads, contacts, accounts, and campaign responders are enriched, scored, routed, segmented, and prioritized properly.
  • Prepare follow-up lists for BDR outreach based on campaign engagement, ICP fit, account priority, and relevant market signals.
  • Help define and maintain rules for campaign response handling, lead-status updates, and follow-up readiness.
  • Identify data gaps that slow down or weaken BDR outreach.
  • Support feedback loops between Marketing and BDR to improve targeting, messaging, segmentation, and campaign quality.
  • Work in HubSpot, CRM systems, marketing automation tools, enrichment tools, and analytics tools to keep data clean and usable.
  • Troubleshoot HubSpot questions, issues, and workflow concerns from Marketing and BDR users.
  • Document data processes, list-building workflows, newsletter workflows, AI-agent workflows, and segmentation logic.
  • Find ways to automate repetitive data preparation and campaign operations tasks.
  • Support reporting on database health, campaign readiness, lead quality, segmentation coverage, email performance, and BDR follow-up readiness.
  • Help create scalable processes that let the marketing team launch campaigns faster and with better targeting.
  • Support AI-agent workflows for data collection, cleaning, normalization, enrichment, analysis, and QA.
  • Identify marketing operations and data tasks that can be improved through AI automation.
  • Work with Marketing to define inputs, outputs, QA steps, and business rules for AI-agent processes.
  • Monitor AI-agent outputs for accuracy, completeness, usability, and consistency.
  • Document prompts, process steps, exception handling, and quality checks for AI-agent workflows.
  • Translate Marketing and BDR workflow needs into operational requirements for AI-enabled processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience using AI agents or AI tools for data collection, cleaning, normalization, enrichment, analysis, or QA.
  • Strong eye for detail and the ability to catch inconsistencies in data.
  • Analytical thinking paired with a practical, execution-focused mindset.
  • Well-developed organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple campaign and data requests.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with Marketing and BDR teams.
  • Preferred experience with CRM platforms, marketing automation systems, or related tools.
  • Exposure to HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo, Pardot, Apollo, ZoomInfo, Clay, Clearbit, Outreach, Salesloft, or similar GTM tools is a strong advantage.
  • HubSpot experience or HubSpot certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with MCP protocol or similar AI-agent integration frameworks is beneficial.
  • Experience configuring or supporting GTM AI agents for data collection, enrichment, automation, campaign execution, or reporting is a plus.
  • Experience supporting a demand generation to BDR handoff process is valued.
  • Background in B2B SaaS, data, AI, infrastructure, public sector, construction, engineering, utilities, or industrial markets is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with account-based marketing, ICP segmentation, lead scoring, lead routing, lifecycle-stage management, or campaign attribution is helpful.
  • Basic SQL, BI, or data visualization experience is a plus.
  • Experience with data enrichment, deduplication, normalization, taxonomy management, or data governance is beneficial.

Benefits and Perks

  • Work on a mission that can create meaningful change in how critical public infrastructure is planned and delivered.
  • Represent a differentiated, data-driven platform in a market that is actively looking for solutions.
  • Work at the intersection of infrastructure, scale-up growth, and data science in a team unlike most others in Toronto.
  • Move quickly and learn rapidly in an environment with little corporate bureaucracy.
  • Use generative AI tools and the company's full data universe to improve productivity and support experimentation.
  • Receive support for growth through coaching, skill-based development, an internal mentorship program, and internal promotion paths.
