Role summary
The Marketing Manager supports the Director of Sales & Marketing in building the hotel’s market position and promoting the hotel and its outlets as a leading choice in the market, while ensuring all marketing activity stays aligned with Kempinski brand standards.

- Marketing initiatives are designed, scheduled, coordinated, and delivered effectively.
- The hotel achieves the objectives set out in its marketing plan.
- The Kempinski brand is safeguarded and brand awareness grows in line with the strategic marketing plan.
Talent development focus
Talent development is treated as a core management duty. In this role, the Marketing Manager is expected to actively support development initiatives, identify high-potential marketing talent within the hotel, encourage cross-exposure and transfer opportunities, conduct regular team discussions focused on development, and participate in recruitment and selection for current and future needs across the hotel, region, and wider organization.
A hotel talent is defined as an employee who can perform well in their current role and is ready to grow into the next level, with mobility being a key part of that potential.
Key duties
- Prepare the hotel’s media and marketing plan under the direction of the Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Oversee execution of the marketing plan and work with agencies to deliver campaigns.
- Measure campaign return on investment, monitor response performance, and recommend improvements where needed.
- Help shape the marketing budget and keep spending under control.
- Develop and roll out marketing activities such as printed collateral, promotions, packages, advertising, market analysis, and photo shoots.
- Plan and execute direct marketing initiatives across online and offline channels.
- Maintain the guest database used for mailings.
- Work with the Food & Beverage team to support outlet promotion.
- Create, manage, and update giveaways and marketing collateral.
- Maintain picture storage and distribution systems, including Picture Park and VFMLeonardo.
- Prepare website content and imagery in line with Corporate Identity standards.
- Ensure third-party website content and images remain current and compliant.
- Follow Corporate Identity rules and act as custodian of the hotel and Kempinski brand.
- Route all creative materials for timely review and approval by Corporate Marketing before production or publication.
- Meet all Corporate Marketing requirements within the assigned deadlines.
- Act as a liaison between the hotel, Corporate Marketing, and external agencies when required.
- Keep Corporate Marketing guidelines updated and share relevant changes with colleagues.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams, especially Sales, Public Relations, Web, and creative partners.
- Contribute ideas and support the planning of themed events, promotions, and invitation lists.
- Actively promote Rooms, Food & Beverage, Banquet/Conference offerings, and other business-generating activities.
- Share effective marketing practices and successful campaigns through my.kempinski to support learning across hotels.
- Carry out regular competitor reviews, benchmarking, and market trend monitoring.
- Stay informed on new marketing tools and trends and share recommendations with the Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Track sales and marketing outcomes and recommend corrective actions when needed.
- Participate in sales and marketing training programmes.
- Stay current on hotel developments, including activities, promotions, and rates.
- Provide administrative support to the Marketing office when the coordinator is unavailable.
