PNC is hiring a Marketing Lead to join its Marketing team in Philadelphia, PA. The company emphasizes an inclusive environment where employees are respected, supported, and able to contribute meaningfully to business success. This role sits within PNC’s Credit Card Marketing acquisition group and focuses on building modern, high-impact marketing that helps redefine the company’s approach to growth.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned digital marketer with deep experience in credit card acquisition, email strategy, performance marketing, and omni-channel customer journeys. The role calls for someone who can turn customer and market insights into creative, data-backed marketing programs that improve reach, engagement, and conversion.

What you will do

You will lead integrated, multi-channel marketing plans across one or more products, initiatives, or channels. The work centers on customer acquisition, growth, and retention while supporting product lifecycle goals and business objectives.

  • Build and execute omni-channel acquisition journeys that improve digital marketing reach.
  • Shape email campaign strategy and apply best practices to strengthen performance.
  • Develop marketing approaches for existing PNC customers across consumer and small business card products.
  • Set up and run continuous A/B testing programs to improve results over time.
  • Define success metrics for programs and individual tests, then partner with Marketing Analytics to create performance dashboards.
  • Use data insights to continuously improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Present channel performance updates and recommended next steps to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with legal, compliance, finance, risk, product, digital, agencies, and other partners to deliver programs successfully.
  • Translate business objectives into marketing plans and oversee execution of related advertising, sales content, and internal communications.
  • Influence budgets and ensure work stays within approved financial parameters.
  • Support thought leadership, build alignment across partners, and help drive complex cross-functional programs.

What PNC is looking for

PNC wants someone who can combine creative thinking with strong commercial judgment and data-driven decision-making. This role suits a candidate who is comfortable challenging existing approaches, bringing stakeholders together, and owning outcomes end to end.

  • Demonstrated success with direct-response campaigns optimized from live market testing.
  • Background in financial services marketing, especially credit card or related consumer marketing.
  • Strong problem-solving ability using consumer insight, data, and marketing expertise.
  • Comfort with innovation and rethinking established methods.
  • Strong ownership mindset with a focus on results and execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including partner influence and cross-functional alignment.
  • Experience guiding strategic creative development that supports business outcomes.
  • Ability to unite multiple stakeholders around a shared vision and build consensus.
  • Interest in best-in-class marketing and a motivation to take on complex challenges.
  • Bonus consideration for SQL experience used to create dynamic, personalized content and for FinTech exposure.

Qualifications

This position typically calls for a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in an industry-relevant marketing role. A comparable mix of education, role-specific certifications, and experience, including military service, may also be considered in place of a degree.

No certification or license is required for this role.
