Job description
About Authsignal
Authsignal provides the authentication and identity orchestration layer used by millions of people when signing in to apps and services every month. The company operates on top of the identity systems businesses already use, helping them modernize with passkeys, adaptive MFA, no-code rules, and omnichannel verification without replacing existing infrastructure.
Headquartered in Auckland, Authsignal serves customers across the globe and maintains SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications. The company has also been recognized by KuppingerCole as a 2025 Rising Star in CIAM and Passwordless Authentication.
The Opportunity
The authentication market is changing quickly. SMS OTP is being phased out by governments, stronger customer verification is increasingly required by regulators, and passkeys are becoming mainstream. In this environment, the infrastructure providers behind these shifts are becoming category-defining businesses.
Authsignal is hiring a Marketing Executive to work with the Head of Marketing and help expand the marketing function. This is a practical, execution-focused role in an early-stage company with meaningful enterprise traction. You will contribute across content, social media, events, PR, and customer communications, with clear priorities and direction from the Head of Marketing.
This position is suited to someone who is comfortable with ambiguity, works independently, and is interested in learning about identity and cybersecurity. It is also a good fit for a builder mindset, where careful thinking before action, strong communication, and continuous iteration are valued.
What You’ll Do
Content Coordination
- Plan and keep the content calendar and publishing schedule aligned across the blog, email, and social channels.
- Convert founder discussions on passkeys, orchestration, and regulatory changes into content that resonates with senior security and product audiences.
- Edit, format, and publish blog articles, case study summaries, and thought leadership content, using AI drafting tools when they improve speed and output.
- Keep the content library organised, current, tagged, and easy for the team to access.
Social Media
- Run Authsignal’s social presence across LinkedIn as the main channel, along with Meta, X, and other relevant platforms.
- Draft, schedule, and publish posts that reflect a technically credible brand voice without sounding generic or overly corporate.
- Support the founder-led content programme by repurposing and amplifying executive posts.
- Track engagement and performance, then share what is effective and what needs improvement.
Events
- Handle event logistics for conferences and industry events.
- Manage communication before and after events, along with collateral production and follow-up sequences.
- Assist with speaker preparation and event promotion campaigns.
- Measure event ROI and contribution to pipeline in collaboration with the sales team.
PR and Media
- Prepare and coordinate press releases, media pitches, and announcement communications.
- Build and maintain a media contact database focused on cybersecurity, identity, fintech, and B2B SaaS.
- Monitor industry media coverage and identify opportunities for commentary or contributed articles.
Customer and Prospect Communications
- Draft and manage email communications for customers and prospects.
- Support nurture sequences and lifecycle email workflows.
- Keep communication templates current so brand voice and messaging remain consistent.
General Marketing Support
- Assist with ad hoc marketing initiatives as they come up in a fast-moving early-stage environment.
- Maintain marketing documentation and internal process notes.
- Help with basic reporting and data extraction.
What We’re Looking For
Must-haves
- At least 3 years of experience in a marketing coordination or marketing executive role.
- Background in B2B SaaS or technology, with an understanding of how software marketing works.
- Strong writing and editing ability, with the flexibility to adapt tone for different audiences and channels.
- Hands-on experience managing business social media accounts.
- Comfort using tools such as HubSpot or another CRM/marketing automation platform, Webflow or a similar CMS, and Canva or comparable design software.
- Willingness to work with AI tools as a productivity enhancer.
- Strong organisational ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and workstreams with limited supervision.
- A proactive mindset with the confidence to take initiative and ask useful questions.
- A sharp eye for weak or overly generic brand writing.
- Must be based in New Zealand and available to work NZ-friendly hours.
Nice-to-haves
- Exposure to cybersecurity, identity, authentication, or fintech, or a strong interest in learning these areas quickly.
- Working knowledge of SEO basics and Google Analytics.
- Experience writing press materials or supporting media outreach.
- Experience in an early-stage or high-growth business where flexibility and multiple responsibilities were standard.
Why Authsignal
You would be joining a business at an especially strong moment. The authentication category is being reshaped by regulation, the decline of SMS OTP, the adoption of passkeys, and enterprise demand for simpler migration paths. Authsignal is well positioned for each of these changes.
- There is real enterprise traction, with major global brands already using the platform.
- The company operates in one of the fastest-moving areas of B2B technology, where customer authentication, passkeys, and digital identity are becoming strategic topics.
- The role offers strong visibility, with direct access to the Head of Marketing and regular interaction with the founder and leadership team.
Work Style
Authsignal is remote-first within New Zealand and values straightforward communication, honesty, and continuous improvement. The company seeks people who are comfortable working across multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment.
Additional Information
Authsignal describes itself as the only customer authentication platform designed to sit on top of any identity provider, enabling companies to modernize login experiences without moving away from their existing systems.
This role is intended for someone who can contribute immediately, learn quickly, and help keep the marketing function moving day to day.
