Job description
About the Role
This opportunity is for quantitative specialists who want to support AI training by evaluating model outputs, solving technical tasks, and giving feedback that improves how systems handle data-heavy, model-based, and scientific reasoning. The work is suited to professionals from fields such as data science, astrophysics, economics, biostatistics, operations research, and other quantitative disciplines. Some people do this alongside another full-time job, while others make it their main work.
How the Process Works
After creating an account, you will complete a short assessment that acts as the screening step. If you are successful, you will receive a confirmation email and paid work will be made available on the platform.
Contract Benefits
- You can select the projects you want to take on and decide when to work.
- The role is flexible, allowing you to work from your own computer and from home.
- Pay is hourly, starting at USD 50 to USD 100+ per hour, and some projects may include bonus rates.
What You Will Do
- Check AI-generated quantitative outputs for correctness, including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, scientific logic, and data-based conclusions.
- Create and solve quantitative problems used to train and evaluate AI systems, covering forecasting, experimentation, optimization, and statistical inference.
- Prepare clear technical write-ups and maintain well-documented analytical code.
- Share feedback that helps improve the next generation of AI models for quantitative reasoning.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of practical experience in a quantitative job or research setting, such as data science, statistics, economics, finance, physics, biology, epidemiology, operations research, or a closely related area.
- Basic coding ability is required, along with the confidence to write and review analytical code from start to finish.
- Hands-on exposure to statistical techniques, predictive modeling, and experiment design, including A/B testing, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, and time-series forecasting.
- Strong English communication skills at native or bilingual level, especially in writing.
- A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative subject is preferred, such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering; a master’s degree or PhD would be an advantage.
- Additional proof of expertise, such as a Kaggle ranking or AWS/GCP ML certification, is considered a plus.
Payment and Contractor Terms
Payment is handled through PayPal, and any currency conversion from USD will be managed by PayPal. You will never be asked to pay any fee to participate. This is an independent contractor arrangement.
Location Eligibility
Only applicants based in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand will be considered.
