Job description

Role overview

This head office position is ideal for a resourceful and well-organised marketing professional who can support the marketing and public relations presence of several businesses at once. The role spans a varied group of companies operating in hospitality, aviation, and live events, so you will be contributing to different brand identities rather than focusing on just one.

You will help bring the wider marketing plan to life, support brand visibility, and play a direct part in the continued development of a fast-growing, energetic team. Because the job involves working across multiple sites and events, all travel between locations will be fully reimbursed.

Key duties

  • Work with the Directors to deliver the annual marketing plan across the group.
  • Plan, coordinate, and run day-to-day campaigns suited to each brand, sector, and tone of voice.
  • Measure campaign results, review performance data, and share updates with the Directors.
  • Manage outside creatives such as photographers, freelance social media specialists, copywriters, and designers.
  • Keep marketing spend under review to make sure activity is delivering value for money.
  • Represent the businesses at awards, exhibitions, trade shows, and other industry events, with travel costs covered.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media contacts and trade press.
  • Prepare, send, and manage press releases and e-blasts.
  • Write and edit content for websites, social channels, blogs, newsletters, case studies, and articles.
  • Stay current with changes and trends in digital and social media marketing.
  • Manage scheduling tools, monitor social feeds, and recommend the best channels for each brand.
  • Create, schedule, and publish posts that combine strong visuals and copy, while also responding to audience comments and enquiries.
  • Set up and oversee social media advertising and search advertising within budget.
  • Produce monthly plans that support longer-term annual objectives.
  • Develop and sustain good working relationships with suppliers and other key contacts across the sectors.
  • Maintain the internal CRM by recording calls, emails, meetings, and project activity.
  • Research market trends and competitor activity to help keep the businesses competitive.
  • Support office administration and assist with small project teams when needed.

Working pattern and flexibility

The standard working pattern is Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00, with a one-hour break each day. The role is based full time in Daventry. Because this is a multi-company head office role in fast-moving industries, a strong degree of flexibility is required. Hours may need to shift to cover evening events, travel days, and urgent deadlines.

Experience and qualifications

  • Proven marketing and PR experience with the ability to manage several projects or multi-company campaigns at the same time.
  • B2B experience is preferred.
  • Confidence using website analytics tools such as Google Analytics to review traffic and performance.
  • Previous exposure to, or a strong enthusiasm for, hospitality, aviation, or live events would be an advantage.
  • Strong multitasking ability and comfort working quickly in a busy environment.
  • Experience with SEO, SEA, and social media advertising, or a willingness to learn these areas.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using digital platforms.
  • A proactive, positive, and solutions-focused approach.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow with the business.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deal confidently with colleagues, customers, and press contacts.
  • A highly creative mindset paired with strong structure and organisational ability.

What is offered

  • A competitive salary.
  • Competitive holiday entitlement and benefits.
  • Fully paid travel expenses for site visits and industry events.
  • The opportunity to join an ambitious, talented, and enjoyable team where your work will make a clear and lasting difference across several exciting industries.
