About the role

GHD is looking for a driven Marketing & Communications Advisor to help strengthen brand visibility and engagement across the region. This position suits someone with solid experience in marketing and communications who enjoys working at pace, managing diverse stakeholders, and bringing events and campaigns to life with measurable impact.

You can be based in Perth, Adelaide, or Darwin. The role plays a key part in supporting regional growth by leading GHD-led events, handling conference sponsorships, and contributing to strategic marketing initiatives.

What you will do

  • Work closely with the wider APAC marketing team to shape and deliver campaigns that support regional growth goals.
  • Coordinate and run tailored events from the early planning stage through to completion.
  • Oversee regional conference sponsorships and industry memberships, with a focus on strategic fit and return on investment.
  • Team up with subject matter experts to win speaking slots and create content and social plans that strengthen GHD’s profile.
  • Produce regional content such as project case studies, award entries, and social media updates.
  • Assist with internal communication pieces that highlight project achievements and people stories.
  • Represent the brand and ensure all collateral follows GHD’s brand standards and writing style.
  • Use Salesforce and other marketing tools to monitor activity and assess performance.

What you need to succeed

This role calls for a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related discipline, along with at least 7 years of marketing experience. Strong hands-on experience in event delivery and sponsorship management is essential.

You should bring a good grasp of digital marketing, social media, and content development, plus strong communication, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills. The role also requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience with marketing automation platforms is important, and Salesforce knowledge is preferred.
