Role overview

Globaz Technologies Private Limited is an Indian private limited company with its registered and production facility in B-92, Sector 88, Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Founded with the support of experienced defence and industry professionals, the company works across design and development, manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing for defence, aerospace, and medical applications.

The organization is looking for a Manufacturing Head who can lead technology transfer, build scalable production systems, strengthen supplier networks, and ensure compliance across high-reliability manufacturing operations.

Technology transfer and industrialization

  • Take ownership of end-to-end technology transfer initiatives from both Indian and overseas OEMs or technology partners.
  • Create detailed industrialization roadmaps that cover process records, work instructions, tooling and fixtures, localization strategy, assembly flow, and testing or qualification methods.
  • Convert prototypes or semi-knocked-down systems into products ready for full-scale manufacturing in India.
  • Work with partner engineering teams to enable knowledge transfer, training, documentation, process verification, and readiness for production.
  • Build a clear maturity path for manufacturing capability, moving from assembly operations toward fully indigenous production.

Manufacturing operations

  • Set up and run manufacturing operations for aerospace, defence, UAV, autonomous systems, electronics, electro-mechanical systems, and precision engineering products.
  • Manage production planning, line balancing, takt time improvement, productivity gains, and overall manufacturing performance.
  • Design scalable production systems suitable for both low-volume, high-complexity programs and future higher-volume requirements.
  • Apply lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methods.
  • Meet production goals related to quality, cost, delivery, and safety.

Supply chain and vendor development

  • Lead sourcing, procurement, vendor development, localization, inventory control, material planning, and logistics coordination.
  • Develop and qualify a domestic supplier base for defence- and aerospace-grade manufacturing needs.
  • Drive indigenization efforts in line with Government of India policies and localization objectives for defence.
  • Track and manage long-lead items, imported components, and critical materials so production remains uninterrupted.

Quality, compliance, and certifications

  • Build quality systems aligned with AS9100, ISO 9001, defence quality requirements, and ESD/electro-mechanical manufacturing standards.
  • Ensure adherence to defence manufacturing rules, industrial security expectations, export control obligations, and other regulations applicable to Indian Licensed Defence Companies.
  • Oversee qualification activities, acceptance testing, process audits, and customer inspections.

Cross-functional leadership

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, program management, R&D, business development, and partner organizations to execute programs successfully.
  • Develop and mentor a strong manufacturing and supply chain team.
  • Contribute to future expansion planning, including greenfield facilities and advanced production capabilities.

Candidate profile

The role calls for a senior manufacturing leader with deep experience in defence, aerospace, UAV, automotive, electronics, autonomous systems, or other high-reliability industries. The ideal candidate should be comfortable building systems from the ground up, driving industrialization, and leading mission-critical programs with a high level of ownership.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in manufacturing leadership roles.
  • Strong background in technology transfer, manufacturing scale-up, industrialization, supply chain management, vendor development, and production engineering.
  • Experience setting up manufacturing operations from a greenfield stage is preferred.
  • Exposure to defence manufacturing ecosystems, licensed production, and international OEM partnerships is desirable.

Technical and functional strengths

  • Good understanding of precision manufacturing and electro-mechanical assembly.
  • Experience with aerospace and defence quality systems.
  • Knowledge of production engineering, manufacturing process validation, and supply chain optimization.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and digital manufacturing practices.
  • Strong commercial sense along with negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-growing, high-accountability environment.

Leadership qualities

  • Execution-focused with a practical, hands-on leadership style.
  • Capable of creating processes and systems from scratch.
  • Strong stakeholder handling and cross-cultural coordination abilities.
  • Known for integrity, discipline, and accountability.
  • Able to lead multidisciplinary teams in strategic and mission-critical initiatives.

Key success measures

  • Successful absorption and localization of transferred technologies.
  • Production readiness achieved on time and products industrialized without delay.
  • Improvement in manufacturing quality and yield.
  • Stronger supply chain resilience and vendor ecosystem development.
  • Better cost control and on-time delivery performance.
  • Full compliance with defence and aerospace manufacturing standards.
