Job description

About the role

This position reports to the shift supervisor and supports the moulding manufacturing, kit assembly, and packaging workflows. It requires working in line with the company’s leadership behaviors, including integrity and compliance, customer focus, collaboration, courage, team empowerment, and accountability for results.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle the use, storage, processing, and control of materials in the manufacturing operations area according to approved documents such as SOPs, batch records, manufacturing orders, and manufacturing drawings.
  • Operate, maintain, clean, and store equipment used in the assigned manufacturing areas in line with approved procedures and documentation.
  • Contribute to operational performance targets, including efficiency, right-first-time performance, final pass yield, and document error reduction.
  • Take ownership of hourly and daily performance for the assigned manufacturing cell.
  • Participate in cell-based teamwork activities, including the planning, development, and rollout of team projects such as audits, inspections, and implementation work.
  • Support and actively take part in continuous improvement activities aimed at improving product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Build strong working knowledge of the assigned processes, including moulding, in-process inspection, assembly, and packaging, as defined by shift training versatility goals.
  • Record department measurements, metrics, and controls accurately when assigned.
  • Manage specialized equipment and tools in the relevant areas according to the applicable SOPs.
  • Carry out all in-process manufacturing and packaging tests in accordance with approved documentation, SOPs, batch records, and policies.
  • Perform other duties as needed based on changing business requirements or new developments in the role.

  • Ensure products are manufactured in a fully compliant manner.
  • Help maintain line performance so the production schedule is met and customer delivery requirements are achieved.

Health, safety, and environment

  • Follow all safety standards, policies, and procedures while carrying out normal duties and work practices.
  • Immediately report near misses, accidents, or dangerous incidents to the department manager or supervisor, or as soon as reasonably possible.
  • Document near misses and accidents together with the team leader or supervisor.
  • Set the right example and demonstrate safe behaviors consistently.

Quality expectations

  • Comply with all quality standards, procedures, policies, SOPs, and other approved documentation.

Problem solving

Production deviations may occasionally occur and can affect quality or efficiency. The problem-solving approach is intended to support effective investigation, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions that reduce the likelihood of recurrence.

Communication and teamwork

  • Use strong communication skills when working with the shift team, including team leaders, technicians, and production operators, as well as with other support functions in the manufacturing value stream.
  • During shift handovers, share current line performance, any issues identified during the shift, planned changeovers, and the latest line and documentation status.
  • Contribute to weekly team communication meetings.
  • Take part in training activities with an open and collaborative approach.
  • Interact with colleagues, contractors, and visitors in a respectful, courteous, honest, and consistent manner.

Minimum requirements

  • Leaving Certificate qualification.
  • Ability to follow written and spoken instructions and operate equipment.

Preferred experience and strengths

  • Working knowledge of CAPA, cleanroom operations, continuous improvement, GMP, EHS, press operations, packaging and labelling, and quality is an advantage.
  • Comfortable working at pace and making practical decisions while balancing speed, accuracy, and risk.
  • Strong focus on delivering high-quality outcomes and overcoming challenges.
  • Interest in continuous learning, capability building, and knowledge sharing.
  • Ability to maintain energy and well-being in a demanding environment.
  • Good relationship-building and collaboration skills, with openness to honest conversations.
  • Prior moulding experience is highly desirable.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Compensation and benefits

The starting hourly rate is €14.75. Pay may vary based on qualifications, location, internal equity, and market alignment. Eligible employees may also participate in a variable cash program such as a bonus or commission, and some roles may include equity. Benefits can include paid time off, health, dental, and vision coverage, retirement benefits, and flexible spending accounts. Final compensation and benefit details will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
