Manager - Plant & Machinery

Role overview

This position owns the complete management of plant and machinery at a construction site. The role focuses on planning equipment deployment, keeping machines available and reliable, coordinating maintenance activities, enforcing safety standards, and working closely with execution teams to support uninterrupted project delivery while controlling costs.

Key responsibilities

• Take charge of the site P&M function by managing equipment deployment, day-to-day operations, and maintenance in line with project needs and schedules.
• Build and roll out site-based preventive maintenance plans for all essential and supporting equipment.
• Handle breakdown situations, investigate root causes, and coordinate prompt repairs with technicians, original equipment manufacturers, and vendors.
• Track equipment usage, fuel usage, idle time, and operating costs, then take corrective steps to improve overall efficiency.
• Make sure every machine and operator follows safety rules, legal requirements, and internal operating procedures.
