Job description

Role overview

This position is responsible for running the finance function end to end, with a strong focus on control, compliance, and support for business goals. The role covers cash flow and liquidity management, customer credit risk review, costing accuracy, fixed asset oversight, and monitoring daily sales outstanding. It also involves improving finance processes, particularly in accounts payable and payments.

Core responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day finance activities so they remain aligned with company objectives, policies, and budgets.
  • Track daily sales outstanding and work to keep it within the targeted level.
  • Assess customer credit risk and support sound credit decisions.
  • Ensure financial policies and procedures are followed consistently across operations.
  • Drive improvements in finance processes, especially in accounts payable and payment workflows.
  • Manage cash flow and liquidity to support operational needs while controlling financial and interest exposure.
  • Oversee costing to maintain accurate reporting, clear delta costs quickly, and review unusual contribution margins.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to shape financial strategies that support broader business targets.
  • Identify financial risks arising from operational activities and help reduce or control them.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and confirm that all capital expenditure is properly approved.
  • Lead annual budgeting activities and ensure the budget supports business priorities.
  • Monitor actual spending against approved budgets, including project and capital expenditure, and explain variances.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, forecasts, and variance analysis comparing actual performance with budget.
  • Review and submit quarterly VAT filings in line with regulatory obligations.
  • Handle annual tax compliance and ensure filings are completed accurately and on time under ZATCA regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisers, and banks.
  • Support additional finance-related projects and assignments as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of finance or accounting experience, including a minimum of 3 years in an operational finance role.
  • Experience managing a team of 5 or more employees.
  • SAP knowledge and strong Excel skills are preferred.
  • Good understanding of financial controls, compliance, and risk management.
  • Strong analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with different departments and building effective collaboration.
  • Practical, hands-on leadership style with the ability to guide and coach team members.
  • Able to handle several priorities at once and deliver work within deadlines.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration is required.

Compliance and reporting focus

The role includes ensuring adherence to tax, VAT, and regulatory requirements, including ZATCA compliance, as well as maintaining strong financial reporting and audit readiness.

Stakeholder coordination

This role serves as the main finance contact for external auditors, tax agents, and banks, while also partnering internally to support financial planning and decision-making.
