Job description

About the role

This position sits on the Deal Desk leadership team for North America and is centered on guiding a regional group that supports commercial execution. The role is based in one of the company offices in New York, San Francisco, Sunnyvale, or Chicago. The working model is hybrid, so the job is performed partly from home and partly from an office on scheduled days based on team and business needs.

The organization focuses on building a workplace grounded in trust, care, inclusion, and enjoyment, while also helping employees grow. This role calls for a strong people manager who can maintain a high-performing culture, strengthen team capability, and deliver measurable results through disciplined operations and active talent development.

What you'll do

  • Oversee daily Deal Desk activities for North America, including request intake, prioritization, commercial guidance, contract support, escalation handling, and post-sale coordination.
  • Lead a team of Strategists, Senior Strategists, and Leads by setting clear expectations, coaching for development, and balancing work allocation.
  • Work closely with Deal Desk leaders across regions to ensure a consistent and high-quality partnership with the sales organization.
  • Shape and execute operational plans that improve how Deal Desk supports Sales through the full deal cycle.
  • Build career paths and support workforce planning, development, and succession readiness for the team.
  • Turn broad strategic priorities into workable plans for AI transformation, product adoption, automation, and operating model upgrades, complete with owners, milestones, and success measures.
  • Analyze operating data, case patterns, and usage trends to find opportunities for better processes and more scalable support models.
  • Partner with Product, Sales, Pricing, Sales Operations, Finance, Legal, and other teams to improve the seller experience and grow support capacity.
  • Represent Deal Desk with senior stakeholders and align team performance to business goals while strengthening the team’s reputation as a trusted commercial partner.
  • Handle day-to-day escalations and recommend both immediate fixes and longer-term solutions that address root causes.
  • Work with clients directly when needed to resolve issues in deal execution.
  • Help drive change adoption for new tools, AI-enabled workflows, and process improvements.

What we're looking for

  • At least 4 years of experience in Deal Desk, Order Management, Sales Operations, Business Operations, Consulting, Pricing, or a similar commercial operations function.
  • At least 2 years of experience leading people, whether directly, through project leadership, mentoring, interim management, or a team lead role.
  • Comfort working with data and uncertainty, shifting between detailed execution and broader strategy to identify process improvements and growth opportunities.
  • A self-starting, outcomes-driven approach with the ability to remove blockers, clarify ownership, and keep multiple workstreams moving.
  • Strong program and people leadership skills, including the ability to align teams around shared goals and manage competing priorities.
  • Experience structuring initiatives, tracking milestones, and managing risks across cross-functional work.
  • Confidence leading teams through operational change, including new tools, AI-supported workflows, or process redesign.
  • The ability to explain complex topics clearly, provide actionable recommendations, and communicate updates, risks, and decisions in an executive-ready format.
  • Experience collaborating with senior leaders and presenting recommendations credibly in high-stakes discussions.
