It also works to give professionals a rewarding career environment built on inclusion and collaboration, while strengthening trust, confidence, and integrity in the wider market and supporting communities.

Role overview
As a Manager in Audit & Assurance, you will take ownership of audit work, guide engagement teams, and help ensure high-quality delivery across client assignments in Abu Dhabi. The role calls for strong technical judgment, stakeholder management, and the ability to apply professional skepticism throughout the audit process.
Key responsibilities
- Earn the confidence of stakeholders by balancing their needs while offering thoughtful challenge on engagement matters.
- Examine transaction flows and assess controls early in the audit so the planned approach and control environment can be evaluated on time.
- Recommend alternative testing when controls are not effective, and use professional judgment to consider wider implications such as fraud risk and governance communications.
- Identify chances to create value by bringing in relevant specialists and expertise from across the firm when needed.
- Participate in group risk assessment and define the work to be carried out by component auditors.
- Prepare and review referral instructions promptly and assess the replies received from component auditors.
- Track file completion during the audit, ensure all points are closed before sign-off, and apply the right file structure for each engagement, including group audits.
- Coordinate early with scheduling and the wider engagement team, and clearly set expectations, responsibilities, and timelines.
- Share the audit plan and any dependencies with client management so they understand possible effects such as deadline or fee changes when the plan shifts.
- Reconfirm key deadlines and expectations with management ahead of critical milestones.
- Carry out reviews with a questioning mindset to assess whether the evidence properly supports management’s assumptions and data.
- Ensure compliance with auditing and accounting standards, relevant laws and regulations, ethical requirements, independence rules, and internal quality control procedures.
Leadership expectations
- Strengthen your understanding of the firm’s purpose and values while looking for ways to contribute.
- Show a strong commitment to learning and development and represent the brand positively when helping attract talent.
- Take ownership of your performance and keep delivery on track.
- Build communication and relationship skills while understanding how your work supports team and business priorities.
Qualifications
- At least 6 years of experience in public accounting, auditing, audit management, budgeting, business planning, or business strategy, ideally with a Big 4 audit firm.
- A degree in Accounting or a closely related discipline.
- Strong understanding of best-practice reporting and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Ability to confirm that accounting and auditing standards are applied consistently and that suitable evidence supports the financial statement assessment.
- Capability to build your own knowledge and help others develop their understanding of Deloitte tools, audit methodology, and professional standards through training and on-the-job experience.
- Ability to review audit workpapers carefully for completeness, accuracy, and sufficiency, while ensuring timely archival.
- International accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA, or CPA is required.
- Fluency in English for reading, speaking, and writing is required.
- Preference will be given to bilingual candidates who speak Arabic and English.
