The position is remote and is structured around at least 10 hours of work per week. Compensation is set at $100 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and assess complex business scenarios involving multiple stakeholders, including market entry, competitive strategy, and operating model decisions, to help benchmark automated reasoning tools.
- Develop detailed business cases, launch plans, and opportunity analyses using established consulting approaches.
- Turn large, multi-source datasets into clear outputs such as executive summaries, presentations, and quantitative models.
- Construct and challenge scenario models, including strategic planning exercises and sensitivity testing, to uncover uncommon or difficult edge cases for evaluation.
- Set meaningful KPIs and stakeholder alignment structures that reflect real advisory work.
- Support an ongoing research process by improving scenario quality in response to feedback and changing evaluation standards.
Core Requirements
- Experience at a leading management consultancy such as MBB or a Big 4/5 firm, with exposure to strategy, operations, or corporate transformation work.
- Ability to break down unclear problems into practical frameworks and work independently with minimal oversight.
- Strong command of Excel-based financial or strategic modelling and high-quality PowerPoint presentation design.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce concise, insight-driven memos and board-level narratives.
- Comfort working in a fast-changing, research-led environment where priorities and scope may shift.
Additional Strengths
- Experience advising technology, SaaS, or platform-based businesses.
- Background in creating evaluation rubrics, decision trees, or other structured analytical tools.
