The preferred candidate will bring prior exposure to civil construction or road maintenance, although this is not essential. Applicants should ideally have relevant licences or tickets such as a truck licence or plant operation credentials, along with a basic understanding of workplace safety. A dependable work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude are also important.

The employer is a child safe and equal opportunity organisation. Applications are encouraged from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, as well as candidates from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. For roles involving children, referees should be able to speak to the applicant’s experience working with children. A valid Working with Children Check is required for such roles, and all positions require a National Criminal History Check.
