Responsibilities

  • Utilize the CMMS System (SAP) for planning and scheduling maintenance technician tasks.
  • Lead the weekly maintenance planning meetings, coordinating schedules with Maintenance Supervisors and Operations Managers.
  • Ensure adherence to proper control and compliance protocols relevant to maintenance planning.
  • Collaborate with maintenance technicians to understand job requirements and schedule work effectively, ensuring all necessary resources (staffing, parts, line downtime) are available.
  • Coordinate with other departments to understand their needs (Work Requests) and schedule maintenance accordingly.
  • Liaise with the Parts Coordinator to procure necessary parts and schedule work upon their arrival.
  • Assist the Parts Coordinator in establishing and maintaining Min/Max and reordering levels for parts in the CMMS, based on historical usage and lead times.
  • Work with the maintenance team to order and kit parts for scheduled downtime maintenance and annual line overhauls.
  • Monitor and report on maintenance performance metrics related to planning, providing feedback to technicians and management.
  • Collaborate with technicians to optimize Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs, reviewing frequency and required hours.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Take a lead role in certain safety initiatives for the facility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Possess a strong technical or mechanical background to effectively communicate with maintenance technicians and vendors regarding parts procurement.
  • Demonstrate good computer proficiency.
  • Previous experience with Infor, SAP, MS Office, or MS Excel is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Exhibit a high degree of autonomy and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Possess excellent organizational skills.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Follow written procedures for existing processes and equipment accurately.
  • Show a sense of urgency and a high level of dedication to tasks.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and a keen attention to detail.
  • Communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.
  • Demonstrate aptitude in writing and mathematics for accurate and legible paperwork completion.
