Role overview
Holiday Inn Club Vacations is hiring a Mailroom Clerk to support resort and corporate mail operations in Orlando, Florida. What you will do
In this role, you will manage incoming and outgoing mail for the resort, including first-class mail, UPS shipments, FedEx packages, inter-office correspondence, and freight items. You will also handle mail metering, maintain mail service records, prepare monthly accounting reports, and help plan and organize large mailings. Staying current on postal rate changes, mailing procedures, and policy updates is also part of the job.
Essential duties
- Accept, sort, route, and deliver inbound and outbound mail, parcels, and freight.
- Use mailroom equipment to meter and process first-class mail.
- Track and document UPS, USPS, and FedEx shipments.
- Prepare monthly accounting reports and keep accurate mail service records.
Experience and qualifications
Applicants should have a high school diploma or an equivalent credential and prior experience working with mail services. Strong communication skills are needed for phone calls, email, conference calls, and texting tools, along with the ability to provide prompt, dependable, and courteous service. You should also be comfortable presenting information clearly and handling customer interactions and sensitive situations professionally.
Certificates and licensing
A valid driver’s license is required.
Physical requirements
This position involves extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking, plus frequent bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and use of office and mail-processing equipment. You must be able to repeatedly lift, carry, and move items up to 50 pounds and handle mail and package volumes that may exceed 50 items at a time.
Working conditions
The work is mainly performed in a climate-controlled indoor setting, though occasional exposure to adverse weather and temperature changes may occur.
Schedule
This is a full-time, on-site role based at the Orlando Corporate Office. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, from 8:00/8:30 AM to 5:00/5:30 PM EST, depending on assignment.
