Role overview
CenterLine (Windsor), Limited is hiring a Machinist to create high-quality precision components on a manual lathe. The role sits within the Manufacturing Team and reports to the Machining Department Group Leader.

Key duties
- Use blueprint interpretation to plan the machining steps needed to produce accurate parts.
- Prepare the lathe setup, establish reference planes, and work to the required locations, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Check machine settings by taking measurements, reviewing first-piece results, and examining sample parts.
- Keep parts within specification by observing the process, troubleshooting issues, and making adjustments as needed.
- Record work progress by completing production and quality documentation.
- Meet production targets by prioritizing work orders effectively.
- Follow all safety rules and quality standards throughout the job.
- Maintain a tidy, safe, and organized work area.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
What the employer is looking for
- A secondary school diploma is required.
- Journeyperson certification as a Machinist, Mold Maker, or Tool and Die professional is considered an advantage.
- Strong working knowledge of manual lathe operations is essential.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints is required.
- Good judgment and strong attention to detail are important for success in this role.
