Role overview

Grandir UK’s Kiddi Caru Day Nursery in Walnut Tree, Milton Keynes is hiring a caring and enthusiastic Lunch Cover to support children during the midday period, working 10am to 2pm. This is a child-focused position where you will help create a nurturing environment, spark curiosity, and support children’s day-to-day development.

Pay

The salary range for this position is £13,332 to £14,144 per year, depending on experience and qualifications, and pay is reviewed regularly.

Nursery environment

The nursery has recently been refurbished and is designed to feel modern, spacious, and welcoming. It is rated Good by Ofsted and aims to provide a safe and supportive space for children.

The setting includes large outdoor spaces that promote exploration, confidence, creativity, and independence through daily play. The nursery is arranged on one level for easier access and has three dedicated gardens for learning and recreation.

It is located behind local shops in Walnut Tree, about 10 minutes from the M1 and A5, 5 minutes from Kingston, and 10 minutes from Bletchley, with strong transport connections.

Key duties

• Maintain high standards across the nursery environment, including resources and learning experiences.
• Take responsibility as a key carer for assigned children.
• Make sure children receive engaging activities suited to their age and stage of development.
• Help prepare and facilitate children’s activities.
• Keep day-to-day operations running smoothly when the Team Leader or Room Leader is unavailable.
• Support delivery of practice that meets Early Years Foundation Stage requirements.
• Guide students and unqualified staff, while building positive and professional relationships with parents and carers.
