Role overview
This position is based in Frankfurt am Main, Hesse, Germany, with the option to indicate a preferred working location from Frankfurt am Main or Hanau, Germany. The role is focused on keeping logistics operations reliable, responsive, and efficient across assigned locations.
You will help ensure on-time deliveries, accurate order handling, and strong operational control while working with vendors, carriers, and internal teams. The role also involves improving transport decisions, strengthening supplier and inventory processes, and using data and technology to raise efficiency and reduce cost.

Responsibilities
- Lead the daily management of logistics activities and oversee third-party logistics partners supporting warehouses and data centers in assigned locations.
- Ensure vendors consistently meet agreed service levels and help maintain smooth business operations.
- Participate in program management work alongside operational oversight.
- Track key performance indicators, review vendor scorecards, and build business cases for logistics changes or improvements.
- Help prioritize initiatives in a complex environment with multiple interdependencies.
- Own quarterly and annual budgeting, invoice review and control, and capital improvement projects for the assigned locations.
- Work with internal and external partners, including vendors, carriers, and cross-functional teams, to shorten end-to-end delivery cycle times.
- Improve transportation routes, carrier choices, and transport modes to lower cost and strengthen service performance.
- Support efforts to reduce risk, broaden supplier options, enable real-time monitoring, and improve operational flexibility.
- Contribute to global systems strategy work that supports streamlined operations, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
- Help reduce environmental impact through better load planning, more sustainable supplier selection, and eco-friendly packaging.
- Use technology and data analysis to improve supplier decisions, cost efficiency, sourcing, agreement management, and supplier evaluation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in logistics operations.
- At least 5 years of experience working with domestic and international vendors or third-party logistics providers.
- At least 5 years in a customer-facing or client-facing role supporting logistics operations.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time as needed.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
- CSCMP certification is preferred.
- At least 4 years of experience analyzing data and turning findings into business insights that support decision-making is preferred.
- Experience in data center logistics operations is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams is preferred.
- Strong structured thinking and problem-solving ability is preferred.
