JD.com is looking for a meticulous and proactive logistics professional to oversee customs paperwork, clearance activities, and compliance tasks for import and export movements across the UAE and the GCC. The position plays a key role in keeping shipments moving smoothly, meeting regulatory obligations, and supporting a high standard of client service.

Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and file customs documents such as invoices, air waybills, packing lists, and HS code classifications in line with UAE customs requirements and international trade standards.
- Work with JDL and other customs systems to maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with UAE, GCC, and global trade rules, including bonded zones and exemption-related procedures.
- Coordinate customs clearance for air, sea, and land freight, including FCL, LCL, break bulk, B2B, and B2C shipments, while working with customs bodies, free zones such as JAFZA, and mainland authorities.
- Compute customs duties and taxes correctly, arrange timely payments, and keep financial records matched and up to date.
- Create invoices for duties, taxes, and clearance charges, partner with finance to address disputes, and support collection follow-up.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on customs processes, duty responsibilities, and shipment progress, while liaising with officials, freight partners, and vendors.
- Track cargo from port to warehouse, coordinate GCC cross-border movements, and manage truck allocation and shipment tracking.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a closely related discipline.
- Hands-on experience in logistics, customs clearance, and trade compliance within the UAE.
- Strong understanding of UAE customs procedures, GCC trade regulations, and HS code classification.
- Working knowledge of JDL and other customs or billing platforms.
- Clear communication, strong coordination, and effective problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to stay effective under pressure and manage several shipments at the same time.
