Core focus
The selected candidate will act as the operational point person for inventory control, domestic and overseas shipping, warehouse coordination, customs adherence, and installation logistics. This is a practical, hands-on role that supports high-value art handling throughout the network.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records, manage transfers between locations, and complete stock reconciliations.
- Plan and monitor inbound and outbound shipments, including paperwork, scheduling, and tracking.
- Oversee warehouse activity such as receiving, packing, crating, and dispatching items.
- Coordinate white-glove delivery and installation services.
- Handle customs paperwork, import/export compliance, and communication with carriers.
- Ensure OSHA and broader health and safety standards are followed at gallery and warehouse sites.
- Manage vendor and carrier partnerships, resolve issues, and ensure timely follow-through.
Candidate profile
Applicants should bring strong logistics and operations experience, ideally in a multi-site setting. A background in art logistics, gallery work, fine art handling, luxury goods, or similar high-value environments will be an advantage.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, International Business, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of practical experience in logistics, shipping, inventory, warehouse work, or operational coordination.
- Prior exposure to multi-location operations, or an equivalent mix of education and hands-on experience in inventory control, shipping, warehouse coordination, customs paperwork, vendor handling, and logistics compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to manage domestic and international shipping workflows, including packing, crating, scheduling, customs documentation, and delivery coordination.
- Experience supporting warehouse processes, inventory management, and transfers between sites.
- Background in a fast-moving business with multiple locations is preferred.
- Experience in art logistics, gallery operations, fine art handling, luxury goods, or comparable high-value asset work is a strong plus.
